Orchard Supply Hardware Stores Corporation operates neighborhood hardware and garden stores focused on paint, repair and the backyard. The Company was founded as a purchasing cooperative in San Jose in 1931. Today the stores average 44,000 square feet of enclosed retail space and 8,000 square feet of exterior nursery and garden space. The stores are easy to navigate and convenient to shop, designed to appeal to do-it-yourself customers for home repair and maintenance. We offer customers a unique value proposition comprised of service, selection and convenience. As of February 2, 2013, the Company had 89 Orchard Supply Hardware stores in California.

Repositioning and Growth
The Company is working toward transforming the Orchard brand and repositioning the business through five key priorities: 1) projecting a consistent and compelling brand identity, 2) driving sales through merchandising and marketing initiatives, 3) improving operational efficiencies, 4) aligning resources and talent, and 5) strengthening its financial position. A key component of the Company’s growth strategy includes the transformation of Orchard’s store base to a new, more productive neighborhood format. The Company had 10 stores operating under the new format at the end of fiscal year 2012 and plans to open four new Orchard stores and remodel six existing locations in fiscal year 2013.
